Maskew Miller Longman is proud to announce that for the third year in a row, we have scooped Sefika's Best Education Publisher of the Year Award in 2008, in the category of Large Education Publisher. The award ceremony was held at the annual PASA/SABA Conference dinner on Tuesday 19 August in Cape Town.
The Noma Award for Publishing in Africa announces that Zachariah Rapola has won the Noma Award for Publishing in Africa for 2008, for his collection of short stories, Beginnings of a Dream. The book was published in 2007 by Jacana Media, South Africa.
Each year, in support of the Dinaledi Schools Project, Maskew Miller Longman awards the schools selected by the Department of Education in each province, a Dinaledi Scholarship of R5 000 in the form of resource material for the school.
This year Maskew Miller Longman supplied Focus Study Guides for the key learning areas of, Mathematics, Physical Sciences and Life Sciences. These study guides will assist Grade 10 - 12 learners at the schools to achieve a successful exam result.
